Lahmee bil khubuz (meat on a bread) لحمه بالخبز

  • 1 small onion, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and minced
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 300g minced meat
  • 0.5 tbsp salt
  • 0.5 tbsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 pitta bread, opened up

This is a super simple Lebanese food to put together for lunch, dinner or a snack :D It tastes delicious, and takes so little effort! You can use any type of bread that you like, we always have pitta bread in the freezer, so I used pitta for mine.
  1. Place the ingredients (except the pitta bread) into a bowl. Mix well together using your hands, to ensure the ingredients are well combined
  2. Divide the mixture over the pitta breads, pressing down and evenly distributing
  3. Place into the oven on full blast for 15-20mins (keep an eye, as ovens will vary). Once the meat is cooked, remove and serve

This is perfect served hot with plain yoghurt. Enjoy the simplicity in this meal :)
