Directions

I had a recipe request for a healthy yet easy chicken wing recipe. Sticky chicken wings always seemed appealing, so this recipe makes it healthier by avoiding the frying bit - rather you cook it in the oven. I don't like eating skin of the chicken, so I wanted to remove the skin from the chicken wings, yet the butcher said that is pretty difficult - so I left it on. However, I cut off excess skin and cleaned up the wings at home before use.
  1. Prepare your chicken wings if you want, by removing excess skin/hair etc
  2. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, and dip each chicken wing in the bowl to coat with the marinate, then place in a baking dish lined with foil. Add the remaining marinate over the chicken
  3. Place in the oven on 180 degrees Celsius for 45 mins (I set the timer every 15 mins, so that I can spoon the marinate over the chicken regularly)

These were absolutely delicious mashAllah! Better than the ready made ones you buy! For some I took off the skin, and the chicken still tasted lovely. I served it with chips, a side salad would be lovely too. Most importantly, enjoy :)
